This is the original concept sketch for the final finished acrylic painting of ANGELA JAMES: From the Park to the Hall.

Angela is the first female to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

This piece is 9″x12″, pencil and gouache on 80lb, Tan Strathmore Acid Free Archival paper.

Included in this piece is Angela’s hockey life from the outdoor rinks in Flemingdon Park, Toronto, right up through to her induction into the HHOF.

As the first black captain of Team Canada, Angela has made history on and off the ice in so many areas, and this sketch lays out her Team Canada years as she rose to dominance in Canada’s most loved sport.
