Unveiled by General Rick Hillier at the Official Launch at Mile One Centre,
St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Our soldiers are ranked with the best in the world. They have forged this reputation with their own blood and sacrifice in the last two Great Wars, Korea, and today’s modern conflicts. It is this same character and integrity that our sons and daughters draw their strength and pride from as they defend human rights here and abroad.
This painting is a tribute honouring the respect of the past as it is forwarded with valour in the hands of our soldiers today.

This print is a 18” x 24” Limited Edition Giclée which includes:

4,950 Limited Edition
49 Artist Proofs  (Artist Proofs are a small number of prints that have been set aside by the Artist to ensure quality control.)

This quote appears on bottom of print:

‘In the end, it is the sacrifice and deeds of the soldier that dissolves tyranny and delivers freedom and dignity to those unable to fight for it themselves.’
