Built circa 1941, Halliday’s Farm sat on Nagle’s Hill overlooking the city of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The farm operation housed a variety of livestock which were sold through the Butcher Shop on Plymouth Road, St. John’s, and then later at the present location on the corner of 103 Gower Street where Halliday’s Meat Market continues to operate today. The barn was eventually torn down in the 1990s, but it’s legacy still remains an important part of the fabric that makes up St. John’s history.
